Get your carpentry trade qualification recognised through RPL, based on the work you already do.
The Certificate III in Carpentry is the trade qualification for carpenters working in residential and commercial construction. It covers setting out, framing walls, ceilings and roofs, installing floors, windows, doors, cladding and linings, building stairs and eaves, formwork for footings and slabs, and minor demolition. Through Recognition of Prior Learning, your existing skills, knowledge and experience are assessed against the qualification requirements. Further evidence, assessment or training may be required where gaps are identified.
Working carpenters (residential, commercial or formwork) with solid hands-on experience across framing, fit-off and finishing.
Not every candidate needs every type of evidence listed above.
Licensing requirements vary by state and territory. This qualification is commonly a stepping stone to the Certificate IV in Building and Construction and a builders licence.
